Safety
Operators
Share-a-Jet partners with operators who own, manage, and maintain aircraft that have been vetted for their consistently high safety standards, industry-leading equipment maintenance programs, and conservative operating protocols. They have been evaluated by Share-a-Jet and independent rotorcraft industry experts. All of our operators are subject to regulations under FAA 14 CFR 135, which requires higher oversight by the FAA.
Our core operators must pass comprehensive safety evaluations that include:
-
In-person audits of flight departments, including reviews and inspections of General Operations Manuals, Safety Management Systems, pilot training, and maintenance practices, and compliance with FAA and DOT record-keeping requirements.
-
Verification of adequate insurance coverage and certificates of insurance naming Share-a-Jet as an additional insured on the operator's liability policy and indemnification agreements.
-
Meeting Share-a-Jet's standards for flier experience and operational efficiency.
Internal procedures
Share-a-Jet has implemented internal procedures for weather cancellations that are more stringent than FAA minimum requirements to further reduce the likelihood of incidents and unpleasant or turbulent flight experiences.
A Share-a-Jet representative will be present at departure to handle any details and address any potential issues.
Insurance
Aircraft are insured in accordance with FAA regulations and carry a current insurance certificate. Share-a-Jet does not own or operate aircraft and does not carry aviation insurance.
Passenger understands and agrees that it is the sole responsibility of the Air Carrier to maintain aviation liability insurance coverage.
